Sir, – Of late, it has become an impossibility for a citizen or tourist to venture into Dublin without being encountered by a beggar or beggars in groups. I wish not to be impeded, challenged or harangued while trying to engage in any activity in daily public life and I fear this situation is worse than ever.
We have laws against aggressive behaviour, begging or otherwise. As far as I can see, these laws are not being enforced. – Yours, etc,
BOB STAFFORD,
Kingscourt, Co Cavan.
