Sir, – As an old, retired journalist, I have always enjoyed watching RTE’s Reeling In The Years. It really takes me back and makes fascinating viewing. But the new series is being totally destroyed by loud pop music that is highly distracting.
In the earlier series of the programme there would have been some music, the European Song Contest maybe, but RTÉ has seemingly now gone mad on hammering music through our brains. Please just let us watch the programme in peace. It’s not too much to ask, is it? – Yours, etc,
