Sir, – While it is clearly too dangerous for all concerned to attempt to detain riders on scramblers in full flight, surely the answer lies in determining where these machines are being stored and moving to confiscate them.

It is clear that scrambler riders do not enjoy popular support in their communities, so locating them should not be an issue. – Yours, etc,
