Sir, – I found Shannon Murray’s story of her mother’s early onset Alzheimer’s (“We renamed it Ally-Zee – we wanted to disempower it”, Health, February 17th) moving and illuminating.

It was such a testament to love and the healing potential of memories shown by a loving daughter already so tested by life after her diving accident. – Yours, etc,
