Sir, – What a joy to see so many participants in the Dublin Marathon on Sunday.
What a sadness to see hundreds of almost full plastic bottles of water discarded along my road.
This must have translated to thousands over the 26-mile course.
These plastic bottles were then collected into black plastic bags along with other debris.
