Sir, – Banks do not respond to letters of outrage in newspapers, nor do they react to exhortations from informed financial experts to do something about interest and savings rates.
They may respond to the sweaty masses voting with their feet. Would our elected representatives consider leading the charge, perhaps by reviewing the lucrative contracts those banks have with the State? – Yours, etc,
