Sir, – I write this on a bus coming into Dublin from Dublin Airport. What awaits the innocent visitor as they step outside the arrivals area of the airport at one of Europe’s capitals? A train? Pah! A tram? Equally unlikely. No, our unfortunate visitor encounters a rain-sodden queue where one can pick up a bus to Dublin every 15 minutes or so. Then the bus encounters a huge queue on the main road into Dublin, due to a blocked tunnel. I could continue, but Transport For Ireland or whichever department is responsible, please do something to bring Dublin Airport public transport into the 21st century. – Yours, etc,
BRIAN McBRIDE,
Dalkey,
Co Dublin.
