Sir, – With reference to Una McCaffrey’s scone dilemma (“I have unlocked a new level in the game of Dublin parenting”, Features, October 5th), I recall phoning my weekly shopping list to my local shop, which kindly delivered same during the Covid lockdown. I included half a kilo of bacon and duly received a nice chunk of back bacon for boiling. I should have asked for rashers. Although being from North of the Border, after living South for over 50 years, I should have known better. – Yours, etc,
GERALDINE KELLY,
Dunmore East,
Waterford.
