Sir, – I was heartened yesterday morning watching the BBC commentary on people laying flowers in parks around London as a mark of respect to the late Queen Elizabeth, and among them many volunteers asking people to take off the plastic coverings and to take them with them.
Why the majority of flowers we buy through a florist or supermarket are inevitably wrapped in plastic, I fail to understand! – Yours, etc,
