Fighters in Gaza Strip fire rocket at Israel

No reports of casualties from attack while its instigator remains unclear

Militants in the Gaza Strip have fired a rocket at Israel, but officials said it caused no damage or casualties.

A Hamas official said at least one rocket was fired on Tuesday but it is not clear who fired it.

Hamas, the Islamic militant group that rules Gaza, has fired thousands of rockets at Israel over the years, but rocket fire has mostly stopped since the end of last summer’s war.

Other militant groups have fired rockets in the meantime, though Israel holds Hamas responsible for all attacks coming out of Gaza.
