A 92-year-old woman has died after falling into a lit fireplace.
The incident took place at around 10.20pm last night in a house in Ballina, Co Mayo.
It is believed the woman did not die of fire-related injuries.
Gardaí are investigating the incident, but are not treating it as suspicious.
