Two people have lost their lives in seperate road accidents overnight.
A man in his 20s died when he was struck by a car on Dyke Road in Galway city shortly after 10pm.
Gardaí said the man was pronounced dead at the scene, which has been preserved for technical examination.
A man in his 50s died when he was struck by a car in Kilmacogue, Oola in Co Limerick, at around 8.30pm.
