Two men were killed in separate road crashes yesterday evening.
A motorcyclist (23) died after crashing into a fence post at Gortmelia Upper, Barnatra, Ballina, Co Mayo, at around 8.30 p.m.
There were no other vehicles involved.
Elsewhere, a pedestrian in his twenties was killed when he was hit by a car at Ryland, Bunclody, Co Wexford, at 8.40 p.m. yesterday.
