Racing:Today's racing at Tramore is to go ahead after officials at the County Waterford venue declared themselves happy with conditions.

The course passed an early inspection this morning and while the going is unsurprisingly set to be very testing, the track is in good shape following a dry night.

Explaining the decision, Cliff Noone of the Irish Turf Club said: "Racing goes ahead after they inspected the track this morning.

"It was a dry night and they were very happy so everything is in order. The ground is obviously heavy but they're racing and that's the main thing."

Today's seven-race card begins at 12.30 with the David Flynn Construction Novice Handicap Hurdle.
