Road closures and park-and-ride facilities
The following roads will be closed from midnight tomorrow until midnight next Sunday 24th:
The road from Barberstown to Straffan village (1.35km )
The road from Ardrass Church to Straffan village (2.5km)
The road from Bawnogues to Straffan village (1.25km)
The road from Bawnogues (at R403) to Ovidstown (boundary of the K Club walls 0.85km)
The road from Longtown to Ovidstown (300m)
The road from Longtown Cross to Straffan village (2.6km)
The road from Castledillon (cul de sac) to Ballyhays (point on the Kill to Straffan Road) (1.7km)
The road from Tipperstown (Ardclough Village) to Clownings (point on the Kill to Straffan Road 4km) The road from Ponsonby Bridge (on Grand Canal) to Straffan Village (3.2km)
The road from Turnings (through Turnings Upper and past Old Morell Bridge) to Whitechurch Cross (point on the Kill to Straffan Road 1.8km)
The road from Turnings (through Turnings Lower, past the entrance to the south course) to Ladycastle Lower (point on the Kill to Straffan Road 2.25km)
Park-and-ride facilities will operate at the following venues from Tuesday:
Weston Airport, Leixlip, Co Kildare, and at Palmerstown House, Johnstown, Naas, Co Kildare. There are 9,200 car spaces. Drivers will require parking passes, which should have been applied for and bought online.
Parking costs €20 per day and includes the cost of the 25-minute bus journey from the car parks to the K Club. It is understood that passengers will not be allowed on the shuttle buses without tickets and ID.
