Colombo - Tamil Tiger rebels arranged a suicide bombing in the capital Colombo and shot down a helicopter gunship elsewhere in Sri Lanka yesterday as President Chandrika Kumaratunga swore in her new cabinet.
A Black Tiger suicide bomber blew himself to pieces as two plain-clothed constables were about to search him at gun point outside the Town Hall, police said.
