Three teenagers who were involved in an incident after which a young man died have pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to violent assault.

Philip Quinn, Kilcock, Co Kildare; Gareth Martin, Ballyfermot, Dublin; and Anthony Brennan, Ballyfermot, Dublin, each pleaded guilty to violent assault and assault causing grievous harm to Martin Devoy on December 27th, 1998.

Mr Devoy died six days after the incident, which occurred outside the Borza takeaway on Ballyfermot Road.

Judge Elizabeth Dunne adjourned sentence until November 1st.
