A Co Limerick schoolteacher charged with assaulting one of his pupils almost two years ago had his case adjourned at Bruff District Court yesterday.

Mr Michael Crimmins (61), of Coolalough, Hospital, Co Limerick, is charged with the assault on a 15-year-old boy at John the Baptist Community College, Hospital, on November 18th, 1998.

Judge Mary O'Halloran said that as the case had not been heard for more than a year, she was going to adjourn it until October 5th for a full hearing.
