Viewers of RTE's Crimeline programme last night heard the voice of one of three men wanted by gardai investigating the rape of a 19-year-old Dublin prostitute who was abducted from the Baggot Street area.

The tape of the man who called 999 at 6.05 a.m. last Tuesday was made shortly after the woman, unknown to her attackers, was released from where she had been handcuffed to a tree in Devil's Glen, Wicklow. The call was made from a phone box on the South Circular Road close to Donore Avenue. Gardai have also confirmed that the car used to abduct the woman was a wine coloured vehicle and not a silver car as first believed. The make of vehicle is unclear.
