The editor of the Sunnewspaper Rebekah Wade has been released from custody following her arrest over an alleged assault, police said today.

She was arrested early this morning for allegedly assaulting her EastEndersstar husband Ross Kemp.

A spokeswoman for Scotland Yard said: "At approximately 4am officers attended an address in south London in relation to an alleged assault."

After she was released police said no further action would be taken.
