The North's Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister, Sir Reg Empey, has welcomed a £60 million British Ministry of Defence order for a Starstreak missile system awarded to the Belfast-based Shorts company yesterday.
Sir Reg said the order was a further endorsement of the "world-beating" expertise in the sophisticated software and electronics field, which Shorts, owned by Canadian-based Bombardier Aerospace, had developed.
