Concertina Cruinniú, a celebration of the concertina in Irish traditional music, takes place in Miltown Malbay, Co Clare, this weekend. Today classes and workshops will take place culminating in a concert at 8pm, followed by a "concertina trail" in selected pubs. A river walk at Glensheláne Wood, Cappoquin, Co Waterford, takes place today at 11am. The 4km walk will take participants along the river into the Glensheláne valley. It will take an hour and a half and is suitable for families and leisure walkers.

Walkers should meet at 11am in Glensheláne Wood car park. To get there from Cappoquin take the R669 eastwards. At a junction where there is a statue between the two roads, veer right. Cross the bridge and turn left into the car park.
