A six-year-old boy has been killed in a road crash in Co Carlow.
The boy died after he was struck by a car at Ballybar at around 4.20pm yesterday evening.
He was taken to Saint Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny where he was pronounced dead.
Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The dead child's name has not yet been released.
