Rugby:Leinster coach Joe Schmidt will wait until Thursday's team announcement to decide on whether Jonathan Sexton will be fit enough to be named in the squad for the Magners League game against Munster at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday (7.30pm).

The outhalf was a late withdrawal from the team beaten by Edinburgh last Friday, having failed to recover fully from a quad strain that is still causing him some problems.

Lock Ed O’Donoghue is guaranteed to miss the teams’ first interprovincial of the new season with a knee injury, but his absence looks to be more than compensated for by the return of Scotland’s Nathan Hines.

Otherwise, Schmidt has no other injury worries, though his side has looked in poor health so far this season having already been beaten three times in four games.

Leinster are currently ninth in the league, in marked contrast to the table-topping Munster men, who have a 100 per cent record thus far.

Around 1,000 tickets remain for a game that is set to break the previous league attendance record set at Lansdowne Road when the same two teams met in 2006.
