A man from the Shankill Road area of Belfast was in court yesterday after two replica handguns and drugs were allegedly found in his home.

Mr Thomas Hagans (30) was charged with having the guns in connection with terrorism. The Magistrates' Court heard that when charged he replied: "I am totally innocent of that. I am not connected to any organisation."

Mr Hagans was also charged with possessing cannabis and five ecstasy tablets. He was remanded in custody.
