Racing: Willie Mullins strengthened his grip on the Triumph Hurdle betting when Quatre Heures (4-9) won the Group Hospitality At Fairyhouse Hurdle without coming off the bridle.
After disappointing on his debut, the juvenile has now won two races with the minimum of fuss and along with stablemate Mister Hight he will go to Cheltenham with a big chance of bringing back the prize for Ireland.
He was worse off at the weights today with runner-up Count Kearney, but beat him just as authoritatively and is clearly a smart prospect Mullins said: "I'm delighted with that and we will have to look at the Triumph Hurdle now.
"I'd say that's where he will go. It was a huge performance to win like that considering he was carrying a penalty. He jumped as bit sketchy early on but as they went faster he jumped better and David said he handled the better ground well."
Mullins added that Mister Hight will probably run at Leopardstown next Sunday. Both Cashmans and Sean Graham go 14-1 about Quatre Heures for the Triumph. Mister Hight is 6-1 favourite with the former.
