Pedestrian killed near Blessington

A pedestrian was killed when struck by a lorry yesterday evening near Tinnode, Blessington, Co Wicklow. Another man who was walking with him was also struck and seriously injured, gardai said. Both men were taken to Tallaght Hospital. Gardai said the dead man was in his early 20s.
