The list of top ten feeder schools for Trinity College Dublin for the current academic year includes three non-fee paying schools.

The all-Irish Coláiste Íosagáin in Stillorgan, Pobal Scoil Iosa in Malahide and Dominican Convent, Muckross Park, in Donnybrook managed to secure a place in the top ten table.

These free-education schools outshone many famous fee-paying schools who did not make the top ten list, including Clongowes Wood, the Loreto schools in Dalkey and Stephen's Green, and Gonzaga College.

Pobal Scoil Iosa, Malahide sent 25 of its Leaving Certificate students to TCD, while Dominican Convent, Muckross Park, enrolled 22 of its students.

Coláiste Íosagáin  placed 20 of its students at the university, and a further 12 students from Coláiste Eoin, the adjoining boys school, also enrolled.

The Institute of Education topped the table, which also includes fee-paying schools Blackrock College, Belvedere College and Alexandra College, High School, Kings Hospital and St Andrews College.
