A policy of naming all new housing estates in Galway "as Gaeilge" is to be re-examined by Galway City Council following criticism by some councillors that the current policy is "over the top".
City Manager Mr John Tierney said the matter could be discussed by a sub-committee before coming back as a special item at a full meeting of the local authority.
