The male motorcyclist killed last night when his vehicle left the road and hit a pole in Sligo has been named as 57-year-old Andrew McClean-O'Hara from Cairns Drive in Sligo town.

The accident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. at Drimbane in Curry. The victim is undertsood to have died at the scene. His body was removed to Sligo General Hospital.
