Ireland's first pilot health promoting project among students has been commended by the Minister for Health, Mr Martin. The aim of the initiative is to examine ways in which the health of students and staff can be improved through education and policy development.

It is being carried out at the Mary Immaculate Teacher Training College, Limerick, in conjunction with the Mid-Western Health Board and the Health Promoting Unit of the Department of Health.
