Gardaí have named the two men who were killed yesterday in serperate road collisions.

The pedestrian in his sixties who was killed when he was hit by a lorry at Ballycahill, Roscrea Road, Co Tipperary has been named as Joseph Connors from Lacey Avenue, Templemore.

And the man who died following a three car collision at Birdhill, Co. Tipperary has been named as Michael Hassett (81) from Coosane, Birdhill.
