GAA: Gerald McCarthy and Conor Counihan are to remain in the posts as respective Cork hurling and football managers for a further two years.

The terms for both managers were ratified and extended at a meeting of the Cork county board last night.

Counihan won this year's Munster title with the Rebels and after extending the terms he also announced his selectors for the upcoming two years.

Ger O'Sullivan (Dromtariffe), Terry O'Neill (Bantry Blues), Peader Healy (Naomh Aban) and Jim Nolan (Castlehaven) complete Counihan's backroom staff.

McCarthy will name his selectors at the next board meeting. There will be at least one change in personnel as Martin Bowen has taken up a new role and will manage club side Erin's Own.
