Soccer:Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hailed the impact of 'world class' striker Carlos Tevez.
The Argentina forward has been firing on all cylinders of late, netting eight goals in December, and he has inspired City to three straight wins in the Premier League.
A summer buy from rivals Manchester United, Tevez has now found his feet at Eastlands and Mancini admitted he is delighted with his performances.
"Carlos Tevez has been outstanding," said the Italian. "He is a world-class striker who is in top form.
"He is playing with a smile on his face and to score eight goals during
December was an incredible effort.
"He has scored 12 times already for City since he came to the club which is a pretty impressive ratio.
"But Carlos is not just putting the ball in the net. His movement and pace worries defenders and he is clever too.
"His team ethic is fantastic and he has a good understanding with the players around him."
