An 18-year -old Belfast man was taken to hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to both ankles in a paramilitary style punishment attack last night. The man was found in a doorway at Island Bawn Street, West Belfast at about 8.40 p.m. He was taken to the Royal Victoria hospital.
