A man in his forties has been shot in Belfast in what police say was a paramilitary-style shooting.

A man in his forties has been shot in Belfast in what police say was a paramilitary-style shooting.

The shooting happened at a residence on Beechfield Street in East Belfast shortly after 11 p.m. yesterday.

The victim was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to the ankles and elbows. He is understood to be in a stable condition.
