A man in his twenties is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Mullingar early this morning.
The man was struck by the vehicle in the streamstown part of the town between 1am and 2.30am. He was found on the road by a passing motorist and was then taken to the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
