ERCIS, Turkey – Rescue workers pulled a man from the rubble alive yesterday, more than four days after a huge quake killed at least 534 people, while homeless survivors fearing death from cold begged for aid and some accused the government of a slow response.

A rescue team from Azerbaijan rescued 18-year-old Imdat after searching for more than two days. A 5.4 magnitude quake hit the region yesterday morning but there were no immediate reports of further damage. – (Reuters)
