A man in his 30s was killed and four people were injured last night in a head-on collision in Co Wicklow.
The accident happened on a straight stretch of the Arklow to Woodenbridge road at about 8.45 p.m. The man who was killed, who was from the area, was travelling alone. He died at the scene.
Two men and two women who were travelling in the other car were taken to St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown, Co Dublin. A spokeswoman said they were being treated at the casualty department and all were likely to be discharged.
