A man in his 80s was killed and his wife injured in a house fire in Cork today.
Gardai in Gurranabraher are investigating a fatal house fire which occurred at 4.15pm at Lea Road, Cork.
The man's wife was injured and removed to Cork University Hospital.
Three units of the firebrigade fought the fire which is believed to have started in a bedroom.
Gardai are not treating the fire as suspicious.
