A man was killed and another seriously injured when the car they were travelling in careered out of control on the outskirts of Dundalk yesterday evening.
The accident happened on the Armagh Road at around 6.40 p.m. Both were in the late 20s. The injured man was treated last night at Louth County Hospital.
A three-year-old girl killed in a car accident in Co Clare on Sunday was named as Maggie Moore, Corbally, Limerick. She was in a baby seat in the back of a car when the accident happened outside the village of Clarecastle, near Ennis, at around 4 p.m.
