A 24-year-old man is being questioned tonight by detectives investigating the shooting of two men in north Belfast.

A 24-year-old man is being questioned tonight by detectives investigating the shooting of two men in north Belfast.

The two men, aged 24 and 22, were seriously injured in the attack in the Old Park Road area of the city on Friday night.

A number of bystanders were in the vicinity of the 7.30pm gun attack.

It is believed a gunman fired up to 10 shots at the 24-year-old man, who was standing beside a Seat Toledo car.

The 22-year-old man, who was sitting inside the car at the time, also sustained gunshot wounds.

Police today said the suspect was arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of attempted murder and making threats to kill.
