A 34-year-old man is due in Cavan District Court today in relation to the murder of Catalin Cretu last year.
The 38-year-old Romanian man was stabbed to death at an apartment at Connolly Court, Connolly Street, Cavan, on October 13th, 2012.
He had arrived in Ireland the week before the incident.
The man's partner was with him at the time of his death and is understood to have witnessed the killing.
