A 41 year-old man died when his motorcycle hit a tree after he left the Navan to Kingscourt road at Balsaw, Wilkinstown, last night.
There were no other vehicles involved in the crash which gardaí say happened at around 6pm.
The victim's body was removed to navan Hospital where a post morterm is due to be carried out.
