A 27-year-old man died yesterday evening when the van he was driving was in collision with a truck.
The crash happened at Cregan's Cross, Ballingowan, Newcastle West, Co Limerick at 6.10pm
The identity of the dead man, a Polish national, has not been released. A Garda spokesman said the lorry driver was uninjured in the incident.
Gardaí, an ambulance and three units of Limerick Fire Service attended the scene.
