Man critical following west Dublin knife attack

A 28-year-old man is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital today following a knife attack in west Dublin last night.

A 28-year-old man is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital today following a knife attack in west Dublin last night.

The attack occurred at the junction of New Nangor Rd and the Fonthill Rd, Clondalkin at 8.15pm.

Gardai say the man was stabbed after being set upon by a group of people while walking along the footpath.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where his condition has been described as critical.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the attack and are being held at Clondalkin Garda Station.
