A Dublin man who faced 205 charges of rape, incest and indecent assault on his daughters in their Laois home has been remanded on continuing bail for sentence by the Central Criminal Court. The 54-year-old married man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to 14 sample charges covering several years. Mr Justice Carney remanded him for sentence on December 1st. He said the Probation and Welfare Service had written to all judges asking that no new reports should be sought at this time.

Mr Patrick Gageby SC, prosecuting, said the sentence hearing would take some time to hear all the evidence.
