A 42-year-old man charged with assisting the management of a brothel at an apartment on Bachelors Walk in Dublin is to appear again in court this Thursday.
Gardaí in Dublin arrested Martin Morgan, with an address at Highbury, London, on Saturday morning.
A sum of €40,000 in cash was found in the boot of the car in which he was travelling.
The accused was charged in Dublin District Court on Saturday with assisting the management of a brothel between September 23rd and October 10th of last year.
His arrest was part of a Garda operation, dubbed Operation Quest, which is specifically targeting people who are alleged to be involved in the sex industry.
Mr Morgan was granted bail by the court on condition he secures an independent surety of €7,500, surrenders his passport and undertakes to live at the home of his ex-wife, Denise Morgan, in Corduff, Blanchardstown.
He was remanded in custody at Clover Hill Prison in Dublin until all the conditions of his bail can be met.
