Man (77) dies after Limerick crash

Witnesses are being sought to a Co Limerick collision in which a man was fatally injured.

Witnesses are being sought to a Co Limerick collision in which a man was fatally injured.

The man (77) died at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick overnight.

He was the driver of one of two vehicles involved in a collision on the Old Dublin Road at Lisnagry at about 2.20pm yesterday.

Another man (75), who was travelling with the deceased, also sustained serious injuries. He is being treated at the Mid Western Regional Hospital.

A third man (48), who was driving the second vehicle, received what gardaí described as “non-life threatening” injuries.
