The Maltese parliament unanimously ratified the European Constitution late last night.

The Maltese parliament unanimously ratified the European Constitution late last night.

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said the Mediterranean island of 400,000 people had a duty to express its views on the constitution despite the rejection of the treaty in referendums in France and The Netherlands.
